Sometimes alerts are acceptable in the current state and we want to ignore what the current results are, but still want to be notified on that alert if something new comes up. Being able to silence until the next change is detected would be very useful.

For myself, we want to be able to "acknowledge" and close the alert, to remove it from the open alerts. But if any changes are detected to it's state, then reopen the alert.

Hi Mike (or any other voters), can you provide an example of this? Looking to get a little clearer on what type of alert you're silencing (what is the rule you have set) and what the "something new" is referring to in your description. Thanks!
